Fund Raising

Posted Tue Dec 17th, 2013 11:07:PM

Fund Raising Philosophy 1.)    We follow a passive fund raising philosophy that precludes the need for the wrestlers to actively peddle something door-to-door during their evenings and weekends.  The wrestlers have enough on their busy schedules balancing academics and athletics – the Booster Club is here to provide the supplemental support to allow them to wrestle during this four year window of opportunity. 2.)    We try to keep the fund raising consistent with the near-term needs of the current team of wrestlers. How does the Wrestling Booster Club raise funds? 1.)    Dues – The booster club dues are $50 per wrestler.  2.)    Donations – During registration each year each family has the opportunity to donate either $50 or $ 100 above their club dues. 3.)    King Soopers and Albertsons Cards – We encourage all wrestling families to have both cards.  The King Soopers card is a reloadable gift card.  The club receives 5% of your total purchase each time you pay with your gift card, at no cost to you.  For full details on how it works please read this document  King Soopers Reload Instructions . The Albertsons Card is even easier!  No loading money on a gift card.  You just have the cashier swipe your card every time you make a purchase and the club receives 2% of your total purchase amount. 4.)    Advertisements in the Media Guide – Securing ads from local businesses is an easy way to help the club raise money.  We encourage you to ask places of business that you frequent if they would be willing to run an ad in the guide.  Running a personal ad for your wrestler is a great way to encourage them for the season as well as to help the club raise funds. 5.)    Spirit Wear Sales – This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.  We hope all families and their boys will wear their Wrestling...[MORE]
